When you create an account we collect your email address and password (stored as a secure hash). You may also provide a display name and profile photo.

Children's information

PlayPal is designed for parents and guardians. You may add basic information about your children (first name and age range) to facilitate playdate coordination. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

Availability and playdate data

We store the availability dates you enter, playdate requests you send or receive, and party planning data you create.

Usage data

We may collect basic usage information such as app version, device type, and crash reports to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the Service
• Send playdate requests, acceptances, and notifications to you and connected families
• Allow friends you invite to auto-connect with your account
• Respond to support requests
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share information only as necessary to provide the Service:

• Other PlayPal users: Your display name and your children's first names and age ranges are visible to friends you connect with on PlayPal.
• Service providers: We use Supabase for database and authentication, and Vercel for hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the address below, after which we will delete your personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by parents and guardians (age 13 and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
